Alex was appointed CEO of Global X ETFs Australia in November 2024. He is a proven leader with over two decades of experience in the ETFs and funds management industry. Alex most recently served as Managing Director at GAM Investments. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in driving the firm’s growth across Australia and New Zealand. His extensive career also includes senior positions at BlackRock, Barclays Capital, and Macquarie Bank, where he established his strong expertise in distribution, product development, and client engagement across institutional and retail segments. Alex holds a Bachelor of Teaching from ACU, a Diploma in Financial Planning, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment, and a Master of Applied Finance.
Chris Wolak

Chris joined Global X in 2024 and is responsible for leading a team of investment professionals, overseeing the management of all the firm’s ETFs, trading infrastructure, and fostering service provider relationships, all while driving product development with key market insights. He has more than 18 years’ of extensive portfolio management experience. Chris previously held senior positions at UBS Global Asset Management, where he led the index portfolio management team in Australia for over 12 years, driving strategic growth and product development. Chris holds a Bachelor of Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management and Bachelor of Investment Management and is a CFA Charterholder.

Gina joined Global X in 2024 and is responsible for Business Development of the Global X Australia business. She has over 17 years of experience in financial services and investment management, with experience in marketing strategy, sales, strategy and management teams. Gina previously worked at Mirae Asset Global Investments (Korea). Gina holds a Bachelor of Business Management from SungKyun Kwan University.

Natalie has over 12 years’ experience in the financial services and investment management industry. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at Schroders and AMP in marketing, project management and leadership roles. Natalie holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from Western Sydney University and is also a Six Sigma Green Belt.

She holds a Bachelor of Professional Accounting from Macquarie University and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).

Steven joined Global X in 2025 and is responsible for leading the firm’s operations function.
Steven joins the firm from State Street Global Advisors where he held the role of Head of
Product Oversight and Business Risk and Controls APAC. He previously held multiple roles at
Vanguard where he was responsible for the operational oversight of the personal investor
platform and fund accounting. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) from Griffith
University and a Graduate Certificate in Product Management from RMIT University.

Gemma joined the firm in 2013 prior to the acquisition by Global X and is responsible for managing the sales team and distribution strategy across New South Wales, Queensland, Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory and New Zealand, while servicing key intermediary clients across wealth managers, stockbrokers and financial advisers. Gemma holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Exeter and since moving into financial markets has gained a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and studied the CFA Investment Foundations.

Nathan joined Global X in 2023 and is responsible for distribution across financial advisers and brokers in Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia. Nathan was previously the Associate Director at Betashares, an iShares Specialist at BlackRock and a Business Development Professional at Macquarie Bank. He was also a Financial Adviser at Link Wealth Group. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Economics from La Trobe University and a Master of Applied Finance from Charles Sturt University.

Rebecca joined Global X in 2023 and is responsible for managing key relationships with financial advice licensees, research houses and platforms. Rebecca has more than 15 years’ experience in financial services, 12 of which were at Colonial First State where she held roles including Head of Strategic Accounts, Strategic Account Manager and National Manager of Strategy & Implementation. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Communication Management from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Nicholas joined Global X in 2023 and is responsible for servicing financial planners and stockbrokers in Queensland and the Northern Territory. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, a Masters in International Economics and Finance, and a Diploma of Financial Planning (RG146).
