Education Hub

Global X's Education Hub provides valuable resources to help investors understand and navigate investment strategies and market trends.

Computershare Information

Global X ETFs uses Computershare as our share registry in Australia. This is where you can access information about your ETFs including tax documents and Dividend Reinvestment Plans as well as update communication preferences.

When investing in Global X ETFs you will receive the following information:

  • Distribution notices (only if the fund has paid dividends or generated interest)
  • Tax statements (only if the fund has paid dividends or generated interest during the relevant financial year)
  • Annual statements (including details of each holding, transactions, and management fees paid during the period)
  • Exit statement (if you sell your entire holdings of a fund)

Register for a Computershare Account

After investing in your first Global X ETF, you will receive a letter inviting you to set up a Computershare account to access to the Investor Centre. This is a three-step process, starting with account validation. Here you will need your Security Reference Number (SRN) or Holder Identification Number (HIN), postcode, and the ETF name.

Going forward, a User ID and password are required to access your account.

What can you do on Computershare?

Computershare has four key functions which allow you to:

  • Sell your securities
  • View recent activity
  • Download payment advice
  • Access printable forms

Update Your Information and Communication Preferences

In the ‘My Profile’ section you can update details such as your address, tax information, and nominated bank account.

This is also where you can change your communication preferences to email rather than via the post as physical mail will be the default option.

Tax Documents

Tax information including statements and full financial year summaries are available via Computershare. Global X does not issue tax documents. Find out more about how ETFs are taxed here.

Dividend Reinvestment Plan

DRP preferences can be easily amended via Computershare. Read our step-by-step guide here.
